Boards in Kitchen offer three different views — Kanban, Table, and Calendar — allowing you to manage your work in the way that suits you best. This article focuses on the Kanban view. We will cover the other views in different articles.
The Kanban view provides a visual, column-based layout where tasks are organized into lists. This makes it easy to track progress, move tasks between stages, and get a clear overview of your workflow at a glance.
Working with Tasks and Lists
In Kanban view, you can easily move tasks and organize your board using drag-and-drop actions.
Drag and drop tasks between lists to update their status
Drag and drop entire lists to reorder them on the board
You can add new lists in a couple of ways:
Click the + button to the right of the last list to add a new list at the end
Double-click in the empty space below, between two lists, to quickly create a new list in that position.
You can collapse lists to create a more compact and minimal view of your board.
Hover over a list
Select Collapse list next to the three-dot menu
To expand it again just click the Expand list button
Filtering Tasks
You can filter tasks in Kanban view to quickly find what you need.
To access filters, use the Filter option at the top right of the board.
Search Tasks
Start typing in the search bar to find tasks by title
Results appear instantly as you type
Click the X icon to clear the search input
Suggested Filters
Suggested filters allow you to instantly narrow down tasks based on common criteria. Available options include:
Assigned to me – tasks where you are a member
Due today – tasks with a due date set for today
Overdue – tasks with a due date in the past
Repeating – tasks with a repeating schedule set
Incomplete – all tasks that are not in the Done column
Members Filter
Members filter allows you to narrow down tasks based on assigned members. You can choose from the following options:
Each team member has a checkbox to filter tasks they are assigned to
Unassigned – shows tasks with no members assigned
Fields Filter
You can filter tasks based on specific fields:
Due Date. Available options include:
Today
This week
This month
Is past
Is empty
Custom (select a date from the calendar)
Start Date
Same filtering options as Due Date
Label
Filter tasks by specific labels assigned to them
You can reset all selected filters at any time using the Reset button in the filter menu at the top right, next to the X icon.
