Using the My Tasks View

A guide explaining how to use and navigate the My Tasks view in your workspace.

My Tasks is your personal view that displays all tasks relevant to you across the boards where you are a member in a single place.

You’ll find the My Tasks section under Home in the sidebar.

Below is an overview of how to navigate and use the My Tasks view.


Navigating My Tasks View

Inside My Tasks, you can use the filter in the top-right corner to switch between the following views, choosing to display:

  • tasks assigned to you (where you’re added as a Member)

  • tasks you are following

  • tasks you created

The page is also divided into two tabs:

  • Open - displays active tasks

  • Done - displays completed tasks

Tasks are grouped by due date, starting with today and continuing into upcoming dates, making it easy to see what’s coming up next.

Tasks without a due date are displayed at the bottom of the list.


Task Information

Beneath each task name, you'll see its path, showing the folder and board the task belongs to.

You may also see several icons that provide additional information about the task:

  • Bell - indicates that you are following the task and have notifications enabled for it

  • Description - indicates that the task contains a description

  • Messages - shows whether the task contains comments and how many there are

  • Attachments - shows whether files have been attached to the task and how many

Hovering over an icon displays additional information about its meaning. Clicking any of these icons also opens the task.


Opening and Managing Tasks

Clicking a task opens it in the task modal.

You can also use the View button (the double-arrow icon that appears when hovering over a task) to open it.

From there, you can perform all standard task modal actions and update the task as needed.

If a task has assigned members or a due date, that information is displayed on the right side of the task row.

Both the member avatars and the due date are clickable, allowing you to update them directly from the My Tasks view.


Additional Task Actions

When hovering over a task, you'll also see a three-dot menu with additional actions:

  • Members - add or remove task members

  • Dates - update the due date, remove it, or configure reminders to be triggered when the task is due (available reminder options include On the day of the event, 1 day before, 2 days before, and 1 week before)

  • Archive - move the task to the board archive

  • Remove - delete the task

The actions available to you depend on your permissions in the board where the task is located.
