How to Set Up Your Invoice Services

A quick guide explaining how to create and manage services that can be used in your invoices.

In Kitchen, you can create predefined services in your workspace and reuse them across multiple invoices.

This can help speed up invoice creation and ensure consistent pricing.

To access the Invoice Services section, go to Settings → Services.

This is where services that can be reused across invoices are managed.


Creating Invoice Services

To create a new service, click the Create Service button.

This opens the service creation window, where you'll need to configure the following:

  • Name - the name of the service, such as Design, Development, Consulting, etc.

  • Description - optionally add a description of the service.

  • Price - enter the service price before taxes. You can also use the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

  • Currency - select the currency for the service price. Clicking the currency field opens the list of available currencies.

  • You can also click Add More Currencies to add additional unit amount and currency fields for the same service.

    This allows you to define different prices for the service in different currencies.

    If an invoice is later created using one of those currencies (configured through Advanced Options → Currency in the invoice setup), the corresponding service price will be applied automatically when that service is added to the invoice.

Once you've filled in the required fields, click Save.

The service will then appear in the list of saved services under Settings → Services.

Note

When adding a service to an invoice, you can still edit its name, description, and unit price using the service's edit option within the invoice setup.

These changes only apply to that specific invoice and do not update the original service saved in Settings → Services.


Managing Existing Services

Services are displayed in chronological order, with the newest services appearing at the bottom of the list.

You can also sort the list by Name or Unit Price.

To apply sorting, click the corresponding column header:

  • the first click sorts in ascending order

  • the second switches to descending order

  • the third click removes the sorting

Each service displays its name, description (if one has been added), and unit price.

When you hover over a service, two additional actions become available:

• Edit

Opens the same service window used during creation, allowing you to:

  • update the service name

  • update the description

  • update pricing

  • change currencies

  • add additional currencies and prices

  • delete the service using the trash icon

• Remove

Removes the service from the list under Settings → Services.

If the service has already been added to existing invoices, it will remain on those invoices and will not be removed from them.


Creating Services While Building an Invoice

You can also create a new service directly while creating an invoice.

In the invoice setup, navigate to the Items section and click Add Item.

From the services dropdown menu, select Create New Service.

This opens the same service creation window used in Settings → Services, where you can configure:

  • name

  • description

  • price

  • currency

  • additional currencies (if needed)

Once you click Save, the service will be:

  • added to the current invoice

  • added to the services list under Settings → Services

After that, it can be reused in future invoices and managed the same way as any other service.
