How to Customize the Look and Details of Your Invoices

A quick guide describing the available options for customizing your invoices.

You can customize both the appearance and default details of your invoices from Settings → Invoices.

When you open Settings → Invoices, you'll see the customization page. The available settings appear on the left, while a live preview on the right reflects your changes as you make them.

Let's look at each setting option in more detail.


Appearance

• Logo

Click the Browse button to upload an image from your computer to appear as your logo in the upper-right corner of your invoice header.

• Header Background Image

Use the Browse button to upload an image that will be used as the invoice header background.

• Header Background Color

If you prefer not to use a background image, you can customize the header background color instead.

Click the color code button to open the color picker, where you can:

  • select a color visually by dragging the selector

  • enter a HEX color code

  • enter RGB values

  • enter HSL values

Use the arrows button in the lower-right corner of the color picker to switch between HEX, RGB, and HSL formats.

• Header Text Color

You can also customize the color of the text displayed in the invoice header.

Click the color code button to open the same color picker used for the header background color.

Note

To save any changes you make, be sure to click the Save Changes button before leaving the page.


Information

• Title

Use this setting to define the default title displayed in the invoice header, such as Invoice or New Invoice.

To update it, click Edit, enter the desired title, and click Save.

• Your Billing Information

This information appears in the Bill From section of invoices sent to your clients.

You can configure:

  • Company Name

  • Tax ID

  • Address, including:

    • Country

    • City

    • State

    • Postal Code

    • Street Address

  • Phone Number

Once you've entered the desired information, click Save and it will automatically appear on future invoices.

• Memo

You can add a default text memo that appears in the invoice header.

This can be useful for including additional information or instructions for your clients.

The memo can also be customized for individual invoices using the Memo setting in the Advanced Options section during invoice creation.

• Footer

Use this setting to add a default text footer that appears at the bottom of your invoices.

The footer can also be customized for individual invoices using the Footer setting in the Advanced Options section during invoice creation.

• Language

Use this setting to choose the default language used for newly created invoices.

The selected language is applied automatically, but can also be changed on individual invoices using the Language setting in the Advanced Options section during invoice creation.


Other - Numbering

The Numbering settings allow you to customize your invoice numbering sequence and format.

Click Edit to open the numbering configuration window, where you can:

  • add a Prefix

  • choose the invoice Number Length

  • define the Next in Sequence number

  • preview the resulting invoice format

If needed, both the invoice prefix and invoice number can also be adjusted individually when creating a new invoice.
