Kitchen allows you to receive notifications for various events happening in your workspace.
Below, you can learn how to set them up.
Types of Notifications
Kitchen supports three types of notifications:
Email notifications
These are sent to the email address associated with the user’s account.
Inbox notifications
These appear in your Inbox inside Kitchen and notify you about updates and activity related to conversations, tasks, and files.
Push notifications
These display as desktop notifications. To receive them, push notifications must be enabled in your workspace settings and allowed by your browser and operating system.
Important Note
Notifications are only sent for actions performed by other users on resources you are part of.
For example, you will not receive notifications for comments, mentions, messages, etc. that you created yourself.
Managing Your Own Notifications
You can configure your personal notification settings by clicking your profile icon in the top-right corner of your workspace and selecting Notifications.
Managing Client Notifications
To configure notification settings for a client:
Go to Clients in the left navigation.
Select the client whose settings you want to edit.
Open the Notifications tab in the sidebar.
Managing Team Member Notifications
To manage notification settings for a team member:
Go to Settings → section Team → tab Members.
Select the team member.
Open the Notifications tab in the sidebar.
You can also access your own notification settings from this area by selecting your profile and opening the Notifications tab.
Important Note
When logged into your workspace, clients and team members can configure their own notification settings by clicking their avatar icon and selecting Notifications.
Important Note About Notifications When Inviting Users or Sharing Resources
When inviting a client or team member to your workspace, you will see a Send notification checkbox.
An email notification will only be sent if this option is checked.
You can also include a custom message before sending the invitation email.
The same applies when sharing resources with clients or team members. To send an email notification about the shared resource, the Send notification option must be enabled.
